Hardware & shop supplies
Not a kit. Grab these from wherever you already buy fasteners.
The pivot. Two screws, from opposite directions.
At the pivot and on the cross pieces. Exterior glue, not interior.
For the three crossbars if you’re not using a nailer. Pre-drill.
Tape (or clamp) the four longs together before you drill the pivot.

Tools I used

No table saw? A circular saw with a rip guide will get you those strips. Go slow.
No miter saw? Hand saw and a square. Mark twice, cut once.
You need this for the pivot, even if you nail the crossbars. Pre-drill so the strips don’t split.
Whatever tape is in the drawer is fine.
Speed square or combination square. Use it as a straight-edge across all four longs when you mark the bars.
No nail gun? Pre-drill and use extra outdoor screws. Same hold, a little slower. Don’t let go of the spring either way.
Knock off the splinters if you’re handing this to someone else. 120-grit is plenty.
